David Bowie Lamp by Vero

Veronique is the proprietor of Naked Art, one of the coolest galleries in Birmingham. She's also an artist, and makes a David Bowie piece every now and then.

Red Mountain White Trash

This is my father-in-law, practicing his uke and harmonica with the Red Mountain White Trash, which he's been a member of for 30 years. The artist was a college student visiting at the time, and he presented it afterwards.

Jimi Hendrix by Constance Ehrlich

Cool mosaic thing... more about Constance Ehrlich.

Leonard Cohen (sung by Madeline Peyroux too) by Ben South

Ben South gave me this very limited print, it was a gift to my wife on v-day.... he wrote a Leanord Cohen lyric on the bottom.

BB King

On the back are tickets to his last tour's stop in Birimngham... Got this from a Studio by the Tracks artist.

Hazel Miller Band signed Snowboard

My nephew gave me this... a snowboard he won - he got it signed by the blues band playing that night.

Marilyn Manson by Josh Smith

MM inspired photography project by the uber creative singer and guitarist for ALGAR.

Bessie Smith by Kreg Yengst

Kreg Yengst has some cool pressings..

Janis Joplin super generic poster

Why not? My wife bought me this $2 poster that is in every record shop. I see it when I wake up every morning.

Stevie Ray Vaughn by Kreg Yengst

Kreg Yengst also makes these in colors, I'd like to get one.

Elvis Presley by Paul Wilm

Yet another piece by Paul Wilm. Actually the first one I bought when I got started on this collection.

Beatles by Leoma Lovegrove

A cool piece (one of a series of 10 or so Beatles songs) by Leoma Lovegrove from a Danish furniture store in Ft. Myers.

AC/DC Proofs by Pamelina H.

Pamelina H. is very popular and in demand artist for tour posters, band tshirts, and everything else art wise for the rock and roll lifestyle. And the cost of her work shows her demand.

I wanted something original from her but couldn't afford anything, so on a lark I sent her an email asking if she had any sketches. Indeed she did and sent me these cool proofs for an AC/DC shirt. Angus is the focus of course, and the melding with the Grateful Dead style tie-dye look is pretty cool. There's also a handwritten note from a tour manager or something voicing approval.

Black Sabbath Original LP

An original issue of their first album, in near mint condition given to me as a wedding gift By one of my old bandmates. On the label it says "Ossie Osbourne" is a member of the band.

Sketch by Jon Bon Jovi

I got this from an online auction... it is a little sketch by Jon Bon Jovi himself. I wouldn't say I'm a fan so much, but the cheesiness was too much to resist and it give everything else a little more legitimacy.

Matisyahu by Joey Longoria

Another Joey Longoria piece. I'm a fan :)

Ray Charles by Karen Bottle Capps

Got this i a little Memphis gallery. Karen Bottle Capps make art out of stuff she finds around the Mississippi River, and did a series of musicians, including this one.

Owl and the pussycat by Paul Wilm

Hard to see (I know my camera skills suck) but this is pretty big piece that visualizes the poem "The Owl and the Pussycat." I asked Paul to do it for the birth of our daughter, and he did a great job.

Stone Temple Pilots Platinum Record

I hear a bunch of these are given when a record goes platinum, like 50 or 100 or so. Still, it's really cool to have one for one of my favorite albums from the grunge era, Core from the Stone Temple Pilots, which still has a great edge to it. Got it at an auction. I googled the lady's name it was presented to, and she was a record producer for a few big artists in the 90s, including STP.

Ozzy Osbourne by Michelle Prahler

The second piece I got from Michelle Prahler... it's bigger and looks really cool. Nearly everyone that sees it on my hard rock wall says they really like it.

Black Flag by Paul Wilm

Paul is the shit... a grandmother with mohawk, safety pin earring, and black flag tshirt. What you can't see here, and is totally missable if you don't know it is there, is that her face has the entire lyrics to TV Party on it.

Kiss by Karen Bottle Capps

Karen Bottle Capps loves her some Kiss. Made from stuff fished from the Mississippi River.

Lucinda Williams by Michelle Prahler

Tom Petty by Leigh Lynn

Titled "Wildflower," this is a very heavy piece of concrete, custom fired tiles and pieces. Leigh Lynn's style is in quite a few installations in the Birmingham area.

Ona's Music Room by M. Blue Horn

Another little (real little) piece by M Blue Horn. Ona's Music Room is a local blues club that is pretty well known.

Dave Brubeck by M. Blue Horn

M. Blue Horn has a unique style that you'll remember long after. See if you can spot all the words in this one.

Stevie Nicks piece

I don't know who did this, it was some local high school student I think :) It is still kind of cool, has some yarn stitched into it that is tough to see.

PJ Harvey by Merrilee Challiss

Merrilee Challiss operates The Bottletree. This is actually on glass, and parts are drawn on each side of the glass, giving it some depth.

Slash by Larry Rackley

Larry Rackley does a few cool 80's musicians, and I had to get the Slash. Not only did he give me the origial with a note on it, but also gave me the proof from his print of this painting. Rock on!

Hank Williams by Paul Wilm

Bob Dylan by Robert Perry

Got this at an old time music get together in Georgia. Robert Perry makes his art by whittling away from a smooth piece of wood. This is one big piece of solid wood.
